snackTAXI Review/Giveaway *CLOSED*

Let me start off by saying if you are a Mom that loves to save money and be green then this is perfect for you! Anything that can save me money with a 2 year old I'm totally game for it. I adore snackTAXI! Its not only handy for my little one but for my husband as well. I was sent one Snack-Sack and one Sandwich-Sack to Review and one to GIVEAWAY! So first off heres a little history about snackTAXI and how it came about.

"I invented SnackTAXIs way back in 2003 as a way to stem the tide of plastic ziplock bags that flowed from our house to the landfill when our 3 kids started school! We pack over 500 lunches every year, and had definitely fallen prey to the easy appeal of the ziplock bag.

SnackTAXIs are easy too - really! They are made in our home-based workshop by talented (and fun!) local sewers - we are committed to keeping our business local, and will never outsource our labor." -Erin Kelly-Dill, Owner

I love the fact that I can reuse the snackTAXI over and over and just wash it when its dirty. Snacks are a must for us when we go to the store so its nice to be able to pack a little something and toss it in my purse and not worry about crumbs spilling everywhere. The Sandwich-Sack really came in handy when packing my husbands lunches, it not only was a fancy little baggy but it kept his sandwich cold and fresh. I would definitely recommend this product to moms and dads out there, I would love to hopefully one day purchase more and get rid of the dread plastic bags.

Heres the fun part! How to enter:

ITZBEEN Pocket Nanny Review/Giveaway *CLOSED*

My First Review/Giveaway on my Blog :D

I absolutely love this product! I would definitely recommend it for new parents and parents with multiple children. Its super easy and super convenient! All you do is press and release the timer button once and it will set or reset its self and begin to count up, it will then show you how long its been since the last, feeding, diaper change, nap, medicine, etc....

It also has a really awesome feature for breastfeeding Mommies, if you have a hard time remembering which side your baby nursed from last it can remind you, HOW COOL IS THAT?! If I am so lucky to breastfeed my next baby this will definitely come in handy.

There is also a mute switch, backlight, nightlight, and a button lock. Definitely love having a mute button, if baby is napping the sound of the alarm will not wake them PERFECT! A backlight is great if your in a dark room you can still see the timers. The night light is awesome as well, especially if don't want anything to bright to go check on baby. And last but not least the button lock, my FAVORITE! My son loves pressing buttons as most kids do, this definitely helps prevent any accidental resets.

I love this product and cant wait to use it more with the next baby ::fingers crossed::

A little about the ITZBEEN Baby Care Time...

ITZBEEN™ Baby Care Timer was developed by a new mom and dad who found themselves sleep-deprived and needing help to remember baby care details, such as when their baby last ate or napped. They tried charts and journals, but thought there had to be a better way. So, they created the ITZBEEN™: a multi-purpose nursery tool that helps new parents remember the basic details of baby care. The ITZBEEN™ has four timers that count up with the touch of a button, and a host of other helpful features, all designed with the needs of a new parent in mind.

First Cleats Review

I absolutely adore these little shoes! I wish my son could fit into them but his feet are too big and when he was 0-6 months he had big feet to so not sure they would have fit him then either lol Definitely check them out!

Some background about First Cleats:

First Cleats are the world’s first and only soft and safe, sporty newborn baby cleats. They are designed after big kids soccer, baseball, football and golf cleats.  Our First Cleats make every baby an MVB,  Most Valuable Baby.

First Cleats is headquartered at 5400 Carillon Point in Kirkland, Washington.  We are a daughter/ mother team, my daughter, Karrie is the President and I am the Vice President which is a reversal from prior years when I was the CEO/President of Satellite Travel Systems and she was the Manager of my Leisure/Group Travel Division and Director and Star of our “Just Go Travel Show”.

My grandchildren , her children are Cody, age 14 who is Team Captain for Eastside FC Boys U14 A team.  Gracie is 9 and plays for Eastside FC Girls U10 A Soccer Team.  Dallas is 6 and is a budding soccer, baseball and flag football player.

The idea for First Cleats was born in early 2010 as my daughter and I spent way to many hours driving to/ from and watching sometimes in the bitter cold and pouring rain all of the above sporting activities.  With the help and inspiration of a close friend the concept came to life. Our first shipment of “First Cleats” arrived in late March 2011 and are selling all over the nation.

Our “First Cleats” are just that. Meant for pre-walking little kickers and golfers, 0 to 6 months is the only size they come in. They make a fun sporty gift for all to give a MVB, Most Valuable Baby.  “First Cleats are soft safe infant crib shoes designed after big kids soccer, football, baseball, and golf cleats.

We are finding that not only do infant boutiques like to sell them but also soccer shops, sporting shoe shops,  and golf shops and Nordstrom. They bring a whole new dimension to the otherwise pretty bland new born merchandise marketplace.

Moving on up!

My son Ryder will be 2 in September! Crazy how time flies. We're transitioning from his crib to a toddler bed as we speak, scary I know. My parents bought Ryder a Toy Story toddler bed for Christmas, and yes we put it together that day :) I wasn't quite ready to take down or even take him out of his crib, its a very big transition for all of us, he's growing up right before our eyes. I'm so proud of the toddler he has become but miss the little baby, probably why I'm starting to get baby fever again ;) Anyways back on track, so we have kept Ryder's crib as well as his toddler bed in his room, hoping he'd get the hang of getting on and off of it so when the time came to move him he would know exactly what to do. We thought we'd test it out a couple times during nap, which worked out great, but it was really hard for me to fathom him being in there ALL night, he may have been ready but I wasn't, that was until recently. I know its time and I know he's ready so we're attempting this whole night thing tonight, I'm paranoid as a new mom would be, but i know he's gonna do great. i really wish I had a video monitor so I could watch him but I'm so scared of someone else being able to pick up that video feed, not a comforting thought thinking someone is watching your baby sleep. Luckily I do have a monitor so I have hear every little movement and every little noise, but that doesn't stop me from going in there and checking on him every like 30 minutes :) He looks like such a little man and I'm excited to see what he does in the morning, I'm so proud of him and I want him to be excited that he's making such a big step. Hopefully all goes well! :D Next step... getting the paci! ;)

My Experience with Mirena

After many failed attempts with other birth controls my husband and I decided to give Mirena a chance. I always do lots of google searches about a product before trying it, and thats what I did before I called and made an appointment with my Doctor. I had read about 75% good reviews and 25% not so good, but I weighed the pros and cons and thought about how my body might react, and decided to give it a try. if me or my husband didn't like the side effects we could always have it removed, right? No biggie. I made an appointment with my doctor to have the Mirena put in, I was super excited and couldn't wait, so was my hubby! I went in one morning, I had read and heard from friends to take some Ibuprofen before because of the cramping I would feel during and after, so I definitely made sure to do that. The Doctors office got me into a room extremely fast, the Doctor came in explained what he would be doing and showed me the Mirena, he told me all I should feel is a little cramping and that would be it, not so bad so I thought. As I lay there on the table my Doctor asked if I was ready i replied "ready as I'll ever be". My Doctor really seemed to be struggling and it seemed to be taking longer than normal, I began to worry that this wasn't going to happen. The little bit of cramping I thought I was going to feel turned into the most pain I have ever felt, mind you I had a c-section. Finally it was in! Come to find out the reason my Doctor had so much trouble is because my cervix was so tight and the Mirena wouldn't fit, he actually almost gave up. Usually when you have a baby vaginally your cervix never fully closes, well because I never dilated my cervix was never open so thats why I felt so much pain. I was so glad it was over, now to wait and see what side effects I would have. I ended up spotting for about 2 months then it stopped thinking "ok maybe now I wont have a period" boy was I wrong I still had those and on top of that the spotting would come on for no reason, I was not a happy camper neither was my husband. Well, recently my brother in law and sister in law were in town, she is pregnant with their first child and boy did we get some baby fever lol My husbands family and my family kept pressuring my husband into giving it up for baby #2 . They must have done a pretty good job, this past Thursday I had the Mirena removed :D I was so scared to have the Mirena removed afraid I would feel the same pain as when I had it put it, but nope it literally felt like I had a tamponed pulled out *TMI* and now me and the hubby are BDing every other night so hopefully we get a BFP in the near future ::Fingers Crossed::
